The brief

Saillow is a video platform designed and built end to end by Peacemaker Design. The bet: go beyond a plain online player and make watching social. That required a solid streaming foundation (upload, encoding, smooth playback on every screen) and, on top of it, real-time features to watch together and talk without leaving the video.

What we delivered

• Watch party: play, pause and seek kept in sync for every participant (real time over WebSocket)
• Voice room during playback, peer-to-peer over WebRTC
• Adaptive HLS streaming: videos encoded automatically (FFmpeg + processing queue) for smooth playback on mobile and desktop
• Shots (vertical videos), trending, categories and a Live section
• Channels, subscriptions, friends, playlists, history and Watch later
• Instant search and a creator space to publish videos
